The shot lab
A straight-in shot makes the effect of spin easier to see. Compare the cue ball’s movement when it arrives with draw, stun, or follow.
Backspin at impact
With draw still on the cue ball at contact, it returns along the shot line. Speed, distance, and spin affect how far it comes back.
No forward or backward roll at impact
On this straight-in shot, a cue ball arriving with stun stops at contact. On a cut shot, stun sends it along the tangent line.
Forward roll at impact
With forward roll at contact, the cue ball continues along the shot line. Adjust speed and spin to explore how far it travels.
